You need 80 yards to complete a field, for each field you complete you get a Grand Prize. Each player will give a reward, including a chance of the Daily Special, and it will progress you 4 to 7 yards down the field. You will only get 1 player from a group for a given turn, so for each turn one player from 3 of the 4 groups will be available. The players are chosen randomly from 12 different players, split into 4 groups. With each turn or "play" you will be presented with 3 players to choose from.
